About Josh
Josh has 30 years of experience working in natural resource conservation, ranging from site specific project management to managing and directing programs and teams. He has led and facilitated numerous strategic and annual planning projects that connect on-the ground conservation work to annual and long-range work plans and budgeting, and that have strengthened political support for ongoing conservation program funding renewal and growth.
While a Senior Director at King Conservation District (KCD), Josh co-led and facilitated several pivotal District-wide strategic planning initiatives that expanded KCD’s funding and strengthened the KCD’s focus on measuring impacts. He also led numerous project-based initiatives, including efforts that deepened fish, farm, flood collaborations, added critical support for fish-friendly agricultural management, and brought collaborative investments to the local food system.
In 2020, Josh launched Monaghan Consulting to partner with clients on projects and initiatives that require facilitated collaboration to leverage and reach beyond existing staff capacity and expertise to get results.
